I started this blog 16 weeks into my first pregnancy (back in 2017) after spending so much time watching and reading other mummy blogs. Every week I would ensure I checked in with my favourite bloggers to see how my pregnancy, symptoms and bump compared to theirs - it almost became part of my routine!
After realising how helpful I found them, particularly during the weeks I suffered from severe morning sickness - in technical terms, Hyperemesis Gravidarum - I thought my experiences might be helpful and interesting to other mummies and mummies-to-be.
A little bit about my background and family....
On 20th October 2017 we welcomed our first gorgeous baby boy, George Gregory Stephens, into the world via emergency c-section (due to me having preeclampsia and him being breech). George was four weeks early but luckily we were prepared. Life hasn't been the same since and we wouldn't change it for the world.
History then repeated itself when we found out we were expecting baby number two in 2019. Max Gregory Stephens was born by emergency c section, four weeks early, via emergency c-section due to preeclampsia - he was also breech like George - on 6th January 2020.
Our little family is now complete!
I'm a Marketing Professional and owner of WhiteLenz Marketing, a marketing agency helping small businesses and start-ups get in front of the right people.
I live in South Wales, UK with my accountant husband Greg and our two boys.
Apart from blogging and marketing, I love to cook (mainly because I get to eat something yummy at the end), and spending time anywhere that involves the outdoors and travelling, particularly if the beach or swimming is included.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, and getting to know me and my family - feel free to get in touch!
Hi and welcome to Mumma in Training. I'm Steph, I live in South Wales with my husband, Greg, and two little boys, George and Max. We became parents for the first time back in October 2017 - life has been one big adventure since then. I'm a marketing professional with a passion for writing, so I thought why not blog about this incredible, exciting and rather nerve-wracking journey. Here you'll find honest thoughts, tips and reviews on everything to do with parenthood. Find out more.
