Childcare isn’t easily accessible for all parents. Some of us are lucky to have parents or family members and friends who live nearby who chip in now and again, but for others it’s a bit more of a challenge.
"Who do I ask?"
"Where do I find childcare providers?"
"I don’t trust people I don’t know with my children!"
These are all questions I asked myself before putting my first son into childcare. The good news is that there is a solution....
Childcare.co.uk Is The Answer
Childcare.co.uk is an award winning, online social networking platform for parents, childcare providers and private tutors.
Trusted by over two million users, the platform launched in 2009 and has helped parents find suitable childcare and childcare providers find work over the last 11 years.
According to Childcare.co.uk, “You won’t find a larger choice of babysitters, nannies, registered childminders or private tutors anywhere else!”.
As well as a website, they also have iOS and Android apps you can download.
Just What We Need
With the uncertain times we are currently facing with Coronavirus and the effects it is having across our jobs and childcare arrangements, many of us are requiring last-minute care for our children. Whether that’s because you’re in a lockdown where you can’t see family and friends, or that you suddenly need to be in the office, we are requiring childcare options that can be organised quickly.
You might even require a babysitter for a few hours of an evening whilst you go for a child-free meal with your partner!
Whatever your reason, Childcare.co.uk provides you with the ease, accessibility and options to find just what you’re looking for, leaving you feeling confident and comfortable with whatever you arrange.
You can be sure that the childcare provider you select is also taking the right Covid-19 health and safety precautions and guidelines.
When I came across childcare.co.uk, I kicked myself for not finding out about it earlier. I have no idea why it hadn’t crossed my mind before that something like this might exist.
What I love about this website is that you can literally find ANY kind of childcare related services in your local area, including babysitters, childminders, nannies, nurseries, doulas, private tutors and more. It’s a one-stop shop for all of your childcare needs!
I used the platform to search for all childcare services in my local area, using my postcode and a five mile radius. 190 results came up, which is brilliant. As there was such a big list, I could then filter the results down to childcare providers with special needs experience, first aid training, corona helpers, female / male childcare providers and loads more, meaning I could find exactly what I needed.
Here is an example of the information you see when searching for childcare providers (black lines are where I've covered my location)...
Once you’ve selected the right childcare provider for you, you go through to their individual profile which shows you a huge range of information about them, such as their experience, qualifications, availability, fees and reviews from other parents. You then pop them a message directly through the website and arrange things from there. Easy peasy!
Something that’s particularly important to me and I’m sure for every other parent, is ensuring that whoever looks after my boys has the relevant security checks and qualifications (maybe it’s because I’ve seen too many films and documentaries, but you can never be too careful).
Childcare.co.uk enables childcare providers to upload electronic copies of their documents, but do state that you should request to see original copies to verify the true accuracy. Personally, this is something I would do to ensure my children are left in the right hands.
Would I Recommend Childcare.co.uk?
For someone who is particularly fussy about who I leave my children with, I would 110% recommend Childcare.co.uk.
It’s actually made me feel a lot more at ease should we require childcare in the future, if our family might not be able to do it. Family are our go-to, but obviously this isn’t always an option, particularly as we are currently in a local lockdown and aren't meant to be seeing anyone outside of our own household.
I’m impressed with the huge selection of childcare providers available in my area, which is a town about 20 minutes from Cardiff. I like that you can trim down and select exactly who and what you’re looking for.
If you’re looking for reliable, qualified and security checked childcare options, I definitely recommend any parent to use Childcare.co.uk.
