RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME - BLOGGER Q&A

I was tagged by the lovely Kristine (thank you!) to answer some random questions all about me. I think it's a great way for you to get to know me a little bit better - other than my life as a parent - as I haven't done anything like this before. It was also a nice way for me to get to know Kristine - I love reading these blogs!

So here's a little light-reading for you, I hope you enjoy getting to know me!

When was the last time you cried?

Only a few days ago actually, as my pet rabbit of eight years, Alfie, sadly had to be put down. He had managed to break and splinter his back during the night (we aren't sure how exactly), and it was unfortunately the kindest thing to do. RIP little fella.

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

Yes I think so. I'm loyal, caring, sometimes funny (or blonde as some people call it) and willing to help anybody - who doesn't want those qualities in a friend?

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

It depends on who I'm talking to and their personality - some people don't do sarcasm sadly. Life is too short for being serious 24/7.

What's the first thing you notice about people?

Teeth. I think how well someone looks after their teeth says a lot about them.

Scary movie or happy endings?

Mainly happy endings, as I'm an extremely happy person and can't deal with much death and gore (I had to walk out of the cinema years ago when watching the film Halloween!). Although I do love The Walking Dead, but we'll pretend I didn't say that!

Favourite smells?

Too many to mention! But if I had to decide, in terms of food it would be fried onions or coriander. My favourite perfume smell is Si by Giorgio Armani (I wore this for my wedding!).

What's the furthest you've been away from home?

The Dominican Republic for our honeymoon. I tried to see on Google Maps how far exactly it was in miles, but it couldn't calculate it. I'm guessing that's down to the big blue pond between us. But it's a 9+ hour flight from the UK.

Do you have any special talents?

I'm a Mum, surely that's a special talent?

Where were you born?

In Abergavenny, South Wales - also where my little boy was born.

What are your hobbies?

Swimming (or anything to do with water), exploring new places, being outside, activities that might cause a rise in adrenaline and cooking/baking.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Don't laugh, but at one point I wanted to be a bus driver! After finding out the salary isn't all that great, my interests turned to fashion design. I had quite a few sketch pads full of different outfits I'd drawn.

How many countries have you been to?

I had to think about this because my Geography isn't all that great - I used to think Belgium was the capital of Germany (doh!). I believe I have visited nine different countries; America, Dominican Republic, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, Bulgaria, and England and Scotland which even though are part of the UK, are actually separate countries to where I live in Wales.

What was your favourite and worst subject in school?

My worst subject at school was definitely Maths - I'm still pants at it now. My favourite subject at school was either Geography (I loved drawing the diagrams!), Art or Food Technology.

What is your favourite drink?

Non-alcoholic is probably a simple iced lemon water (boring I know) and alcoholic is either pink gin and lemonade (yes, I'm jumping on the band-wagon) or Pimms - my saliva glands are going crazy right now!

What would you (or have you) named your kids?

I named my little boy George (not after the Prince - my Grampy was called George). If I have a girl in the future though, I love the name Lyla.

Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?

In no particular order; Carli Bybel, Carissa Nunez, Tati, Aaryn Williams, Anna Saconne, Desi Perkins and Lydia Elise Millen. There are so many more though....

How many boyfriends have you had?

Including my husband, I'd say three proper ones.

Favourite memory from childhood?

Going to Disneyland Florida with my two sisters, parents and grandparents. I still go on about how amazing it was. Think we went in 2000? I've told Greg we are taking George when he's a little bit older. You really don't understand how brilliant it is until you go!

How would you describe your fashion sense?

It's just me really, I don't follow the trends in the high-street shops, I just purchase an item when I see something I really like. My statement outfit at the moment (as it's so blumin hot) is a good old maxi-dress. They're so easy to wear!

Tell us one of your bad habits

I don't know to be honest - I'd have to ask my husband haha. But personally, I'd say biting my nails. I try so hard not to - I'm a lot better than I used to be thanks to my gel nail kit.

I'm tagging the below fellow bloggers to find out more about them. I look forward to seeing your answers. If you're interested in answering these questions yourself (and you're not tagged below) please feel free!
